Desire of Filey opened its doors on 8th January 2009. And grew year by year into what it is now, a successful family run business that consists of myself, Diane and my two Daughters Laura & Olivia and loyal staff member Becky. Who all play an important role in the the business.

In 2017 we expanded into next door to create a bigger, lighter space with a mirrored wall and larger changing rooms.

Not only do we stock Prom, Evening & Cruise wear, Hats & Fascinators together with handbags, fashion accessories, costume jewellery & scarves. We quickly realised some time ago that there was a gap in the market for a different style of quirky clothing that suits all ages and sizes. We particularly focused on Italian Lagenlook & Linen Clothing & Boho Chic Styling.

We specialise in One Size styles, offering approximate `from and to’ sizing guidance, which works really well for the majority of our customers.

PLUS SIZE clothing is also very important to Desire as we are always being asked for bigger variations of the styles we sell, and as a big girl myself I was always faced with the fact High Street shops don’t seem to cater for anybody that is above a size 16, in clothing that is fashionable. After all It’s all about helping women feel and look great in what they are wearing!

Filey is pre-dominantly a holiday town we get many visitors every year buying our range and asking is the shop online to re-order and do we post out? this encouraged us to create this website so we can bring our beautiful collections to wherever you may be.
